What is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment is amusement, distraction, the thing that keeps us all occupied and having fun. A clown at a birthday party, a Broadway show, or your friends fighting over the last potato chip are all forms of entertainment. The word comes from the French entretenir meaning to keep together or support; it is also associated with hospitality. Some entertainment is considered reprehensible—like dogfighting.
